The Buffalo Bills have given Head Coach Marv Levy a contract extension through the end of the 1992 season, according to a published report.

Today’s Buffalo News reported that the two-year extension is believed to include a pay increase. Levy’s annual salary was previously estimated at $250,000.

It is the second contract extension Levy has received since he replaced Hank Bullough as head coach in 1986. In 1987, Levy’s original two-year agreement with the Bills was extended through the end of the 1990 season.

With Levy at the helm, the Bills have a regular-season record of 21-17. They’ve also captured a division championship and are 1-1 in the playoffs, including a trip to the AFL championship game last season.
