Nashwan, a 3-1 favorite in his first outing of the season, took the lead two furlongs from home and went on to win the 2,000 Guineas at Newmarket, England.
Ridden by Willie Carson and trained by Dick Hern, Nashwan was installed as a 5-2 favorite for the Epsom Derby next month.
Nashwan, winning in 1:36.44, beat two Khaled Abdulla-owned runners, Exbourne and Danehill.
