Suspect Wanted in 17 Bank Robberies Is Arrested in Sylmar
A man listed among the 12 most wanted bank robbers in Los Angeles was arrested Thursday in his Sylmar apartment, police said.
Archie Michael Wolf, 35, was arrested on suspicion of robbery after police received a call from someone who had seen a photo of the man on a television news report Wednesday, Los Angeles police Detective Joe Chandler said.
Chandler said Wolf is suspected in 17 bank robberies in Los Angeles and 10 others outside the city. Authorities nicknamed the robber the “Red Eye” bandit because of a spot between his left eye and nose.
