Northridge, CLU Take Aim at Track Titles

Cal State Northridge and Cal Lutheran will open pursuit of their respective conference track titles in meets beginning today and concluding Saturday.
Tyrone Jeffries will compete in five events--the 100 and 200 meters, 110 high hurdles and two relays--as CSUN bids to unseat three-time defending-champion Cal State Los Angeles in the California Collegiate Athletic Assn. championships in San Luis Obispo.
Darcy Arreola, competing for the Northridge women’s team, will attempt to defend her conference titles in the 800 and 1,500 meters.
Cal Lutheran, led by sprinter Darren Bernard and distance runner Patrick Byrne, will compete in the NAIA District 3 championships at Pt. Loma Nazarene College.
