Japanese Pair Wins 300-Kilometer Race
The Japanese team of Kazuyoshi Hoshino and Moto Kitano drove their Nissan Skyline to victory Sunday in the Highland 300-kilometer championship race.
Hoshino and Kitano sped 80 laps over the 2.33-mile Highland Circuit in northern Japan in 2 hours 30 minutes 26.825 seconds.
Also driving a Nissan Skyline, Masahiro Hasumi of Japan and Anders Olofsson of Sweden came in second in 2:30:42.278, followed by Kenichi Tsuchiya and Britain’s Kris Hodgetts, in a Ford Sierra, in 2:31:50.909.
A total of 32 cars started and 27 completed the race.
