Locke vs. Eastwood

In response to the May 8 article “Locke vs. Eastwood”:

Clint Eastwood’s behavior as described by former lover Sondra Locke surely didn’t “make my day.” If true, such cruel and heavy-handed tactics (locking her out, etc.) were unnecessary and uncalled for.

It would seem that “Dirty Harry” is a fitting name for Eastwood, both on and off the screen: one who treats his romantic interests as badly as his on-screen villains, shooting holes through their hearts and dignity instead of through their heads.

Locke says Eastwood pressured her to go through two abortions and a sterilization and then dumped her unceremoniously. Perhaps the pressure of politics has warped Eastwood’s mind or his true character has finally become evident.
