Catcher Gary Carter of the New York Mets underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee and will be sidelined up to two months, the team announced.
Dr. James Andrews removed eight loose pieces of cartilage during the 90-minute surgery on the knee, which had been operated on three times previously.
