A field of six headed by Blushing John and Ruhlmann was entered today in Sunday’s $300,000-added Californian at Hollywood Park.

Blushing John will be ridden by Pat Day and was assigned high weight of 124 pounds for the 36th running of the 1 1/8-mile race for 3-year-olds and up. Blushing John is coming off an impressive victory in the Pimlico Special on May 13.

Ruhlmann will be ridden by Laffit Pincay and was assigned 122 pounds. Ruhlmann has won his last three starts including the San Bernardino Handicap at Santa Anita on April 2 and the Mervyn LeRoy Handicap at Hollywood Park on May 21.

Others entered were Lively One, who will be ridden by Robbie Davis and was assigned 118 pounds; Sabona, Chris McCarron, 115 pounds; Payant, Patrick Valenzuela, 114 pounds, and Saratoga Passage, Eddie Delahoussaye, 114 pounds. If all six entries go to the post, the total purse will be $320,800 and the winner will earn $185,800.
