Woman Who Was Raped, Shot Dies
A 19-year-old woman who was raped, robbed and shot along with another woman and a 14-year-old girl at her home in Inglewood last Saturday morning has died, the county coroner’s office said Wednesday.
The woman, whose name was withheld pending notification of next of kin, died Monday night at Martin Luther King Jr./Drew Medical Center, coroner’s spokesman Bob Dambacher said.
Inglewood police said the other woman, 32, and her teen-age daughter, who were also raped and shot during the attack, remained in critical condition late Wednesday at a hospital that authorities declined to identify.
The attacks occurred about 2 a.m. when a gunman followed the 19-year-old woman into her home in the 10300 block of Doty Avenue, where the other woman and her daughter also lived. Once inside, he ordered all three to disrobe and tied them up, investigators said.
The attacker, who is still at large, then assaulted them, authorities said.
