Suspected Slayer, Rapist Arrested
A man suspected of raping two women and a 14-year-old girl and then shooting them execution-style, one fatally, in Inglewood was arrested Saturday night after the family of the dead victim saw him while driving to her funeral, authorities said.
J. C. Metoyer, 19, was arrested without incident at 6 p.m. at Crenshaw Boulevard and 47th Street in Los Angeles after the family of Sarah Laureana, 19, called police. Metoyer, who is being held without bail, was booked on one count of murder, three counts of rape and three counts of robbery, said Inglewood Sgt. Harold Moret.
Metoyer is the grandson of one of the victims’ neighbors, authorities said. Police said they do not have a motive for the violence.
“I can’t figure it out,” Moret said. “I spoke to him. He’s just as calm as can be.”
