Syracuse University basketball center Derrick Coleman will be on crutches for the next several weeks after corrective foot surgery, an athletic department official said.
The 6-foot-10 Coleman was operated on Friday in Syracuse by team physician Dr. Bruce Baker. The surgery involved repairing two injured toes on Coleman’s left foot. Coleman, of Detroit, was among the nation’s top five players in rebounding and blocked shots last season.
