Terry Holland, Virginia basketball coach, apparently has decided to accept a job as athletic director at Davidson College in North Carolina, the Richmond (Va.) News Leader reported Thursday.
Two sources close to the situation told the newspaper that Holland and Davidson have reached an agreement. The newspaper did not identify the sources, who were unclear on the timetable of the move. One said that Holland, 47, will stay at Virginia through the end of next season.
Holland, winningest coach in Virginia history with a 306-161 record in 15 seasons, is known to be interested in a career in athletic administration and is a Davidson alumnus.
Officials at both schools declined to comment and Holland did not return phone calls.
