Reich Named Dana Hills Interim Coach
Tom Reich, an assistant boys’ varsity basketball coach at Dana Hills High School, has been named coach for next season, replacing Rich Skelton.
“It’s just on an interim basis,” Reich said. “I’ll be an assistant again in the 1990-1991 season.”
Skelton was suspended in June for violating California Interscholastic Rule 510, which prohibits a coach from contacting a parent or a student before that student is enrolled at the high school.
Skelton cannot have any contact with the school’s basketball program until the end of the 1989-1990 season, when he will be able to resume his coaching duties.
Reich also has coached at Santa Ana Valley.
