W. Los Angeles : 39 Awarded Scholarships

Thirty-nine West Los Angeles College students received $11,000 in scholarship awards earlier this month at the annual “Salute the Champions” ceremony.
The top award was given to business major Gracelyn Hodges, who received the $4,500 Norman Toppings scholarship. She will transfer to USC in the fall.
International relations major Marie Charles received the $900 West Los Angeles College Foundation scholarship.
The scholarships are funded by the college’s Associated Student Organization and several other individuals and groups.
