The State : 2 Crime Patrol Members Held
Two members of a neighborhood crime patrol were arrested in San Rafael on charges of kidnaping an alleged prostitute, police said. David Sharrar, 34, and Tristan Sarfert, 18, were accused of abducting Susan Rae Kelly, 23, beating the young woman and dumping her out of a van near the Golden Gate. The two were members of Canal Citizens on Patrol, a volunteer group that disbanded last month while police were investigating Kelly’s kidnaping. Police Sgt. Dave Johnson said investigators had no leads on the February abduction until another member of the citizens patrol told them about the incident.
