International soccer officials will decide Monday whether to grant El Salvador’s request to move its World Cup qualifying game against the United States next Sunday from San Salvador to the Coliseum.

The Federation of International Football Assns. (FIFA) ruled Thursday that El Salvador could not play at home for at least one month because of a fan disturbance in its 4-2 loss last Sunday against Costa Rica at San Salvador,

Keith Walker, national administrator for the U.S. Soccer Federation, said Saturday that FIFA has received approval for the move to Los Angeles from four of the five teams in the CONCACAF (North and Central America and the Caribbean) qualifying tournament but is awaiting word from Guatemala.
