22-Year-Old L.A. Man Drowns in Castaic Lake
Jose Barcenas, 22, of Los Angeles drowned while swimming with friends in Castaic Lake Tuesday afternoon, the Los Angeles County Fire Department reported.
Lifeguards saw Barcenas floundering and pulled him from the lake. Efforts to revive him were unsuccessful, and Barcenas was dead on arrival at Henry Mayo Hospital in Newhall.
