Latshaw Boosts Stake: Kansas City investor John Latshaw said he increased his investment in Torrance-based Standard Brands Paint Co. to 564,600 common shares, or about 9.8% of the paint maker and retailer’s total shares outstanding. Latshaw, chairman of Latshaw Enterprises, a maker of mechanical controls and molded plastic parts in Missouri, had previously held 405,400 shares, 202,700 of them held in his company’s name. He described the holding as an investment.
