Firm to Bid for Saatchi Units: The French consulting firm Bernard Krieff Consultants said it intends to make a bid for the consulting units of the British ad firm Saatchi & Saatchi. Although Saatchi announced last month that its consulting division was for sale, Bernard Krieff, head of the French firm, said last March that he made an unsolicited bid to Saatchi that was rejected. Although some financial analysts have estimated the Saatchi consulting units to be worth up to $500 million, Krieff said they’re worth only $200 million. A Saatchi official said Krieff’s announcement of his bidding intentions were “a bit premature.”
