A 20th-anniversary celebration for the 1969 film “Easy Rider” will take place Friday in Santa Fe, N.M., to benefit the Film Festival de Santa Fe. The gala will include a screening of the film, appearances by stars Peter Fonda and Dennis Hopper and one of the Captain America motorcycles from the film, plus a party with some ‘60s touches. Michael Medved, co-host of PBS’ “Sneak Previews,” will emcee. Medved is currently working his way through 9,000 pages of interview transcripts for a book he’s writing about the movie’s cast and crew. Though several major sequences of “Easy Rider” are supposedly set in New Mexico, only snippets of the film were shot there.
