Two more TV news troupes are joining those of the three networks and CNN this week in covering the economic summit conference in Paris: cable-TV’s Financial News Network and its rival, NBC-owned CNBC. The latter is dispatching five staffers from its London bureau for live morning and afternoon reports from Paris during the conference on Thursday, Friday and on Monday. New York-based FNN is sending a team of seven, including anchors Bill Griffeth) and Doug Ramsey. The Paris conference is the first major overseas event covered live by CNBC, which only began operations three months ago. FNN says it covered last year’s economic summit conference in Toronto.
