THE SIDELINES : Winning Foursome to Play at PGA

HAWTHORN WOODS, Ill. —
Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Lee Trevino and Tom Watson have committed to play in the 1989 PGA Championship at Kemper Lakes Golf Club on Aug. 10-13, tournament officials said.
“They have dominated golf during the past three decades, and their skills and personalities have done much for the growth and popularity of the sport in this country,” said James S. Kemper, honorary chairman of the tournament.
