The Rev. Jesse Jackson, who needs to establish a legal residence in Washington to qualify for any potential mayoral campaign there, will move this month from Chicago to a Washington apartment building because the planned remodeling of a house he owns is behind schedule, the Washington Post reported. Jackson’s office confirmed that Jackson and his wife, Jacqueline, will move temporarily into the Rittenhouse, a 250-unit rental building on 16th Street NW. One building employee said the Jacksons would occupy a three-bedroom unit. Three-bedroom units rent for about $1,000 a month, some tenants said. Jackson has said publicly he is considering a race for mayor of Washington.
