Three East German soccer players were missing and suspected of having defected after failing to appear at a scheduled match in Sweden, said Swedish team captain Lennart Magnusson.
The East German team Wistmut Aue had a Wednesday match against Sweden’s Orgryte in Goteborg for the IFC-Cup.
It was believed the three had left for West Germany.
