Milken the Consultant: Michael Milken, who is facing criminal charges as the former “junk bond” chief at Drexel Burnham Lambert Inc., has been hired by workers seeking to acquire San Francisco Bay tour boat company Red & White Fleet. The workers retained Milken, who quit Drexel last month to form International Capital Access Group, to prepare a competing bid for the company. Arch-rival Blue & Gold Fleet, owned by Pier 39 with backing from partners such as Texas’ billionaire Bass brothers, already has a signed preliminary agreement to buy Red & White for $26 million from Crowley Maritime Corp.
