THE SIDELINES : Federation Cup Team Announced

NEW YORK — Chris Evert, Zina Garrison, Martina Navratilova and Pam Shriver were named today to the 1989 U.S. Federation Cup team that will compete in Tokyo from Oct. 1 to 8.
The four were members of the last U.S. team to win the Federation Cup, in 1986 in Prague, Czechoslovakia.
Marty Riessen will be captain and coach for the women’s international team competition.
