Pop singer Pebbles married red-hot producer L.A. Reid last week at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Reid and his partner Babyface wrote and produced Pebbles’ 1988 smash single “Girlfriend.” If the vinyl LP is going the way of your grandma’s 78s, at least the Beastie Boys are giving it a fond send-off. The first run of 50,000 copies of the rap trio’s new album “Paul’s Boutique” (See Record Rack, Page 63) features an eight-panel gatefold sleeve. The deluxe packaging is available only in the vinyl format.
