San Diego Defeats Metro League Stars
Brad Brown and Bob Keller drove in runs in the 10th inning as San Diego defeated the Metropolitan League of Orange County, 8-6, Sunday in the North-South Collegiate All-Star baseball game at Fullerton College.
In the 10th, Steve Rader singled and scored on Brown’s triple. Keller then singled in Brown.
Andy Williams picked up the victory with four innings of scoreless relief. Williams entered the game in the seventh with the Metro League leading, 6-3. San Diego scored a run in the eighth and two in the ninth to tie the score.
Brown was the game’s most valuable player with two hits, including a double, two runs scored and two runs batted in.
