THE SIDELINES : Wayne Cooper Signs With Blazers

PORTLAND, Ore. —
Denver Nuggets free agent Wayne Cooper signed a contract with the Portland Trail Blazers today. Blazers spokesman John Lashway said the contract was signed after the 6-foot-10 center underwent a physical by the Blazers’ team physician.
Lashway said details of the contract will be announced later. The Rocky Mountain News reported in Denver that Cooper was signing a three-year contract that NBA sources said would bring him $1.1 million a year.
