Burt Lancaster and Charles Dance will star in NBC’s “Phantom of the Opera” miniseries, based not on the Broadway musical but on Gaston Leroux’s novel. Dance will play the masked phantom. Dancer Teri Polo will play the object of the Phantom’s adoration, Christine; Lancaster will play her father. Production is under way in Paris. . . .
