THE SIDELINES : Queen Enters Horse in U.S. Race

CHICAGO — Queen Elizabeth II of England will enter a horse in the United States for the first time in 35 years at Arlington Park, track officials say.
Unknown Quantity will represent her in the $200,000 Arlington Handicap on Aug. 12.
“I am extremely pleased Her Majesty will have a horse entered in the Arlington Handicap,” Arlington Chairman Richard Duchossois said Wednesday.
No jockey has been named for the queen’s horse.
Her last entrant in the United States was Landau, which finished last in the Washington, D.C., International in 1954.
