Countywide : Fund-Raising Arm for Community’s Projects
Members of a county steering committee have announced formation of the Orange County Community Foundation, a fund-raising arm to help strengthen the county’s “strong cultural and political identity,” said Judy Swayne, project coordinator.
Contributions will help build a permanent community fund that will be given as grants to charitable community projects, Swayne said.
Steering committee members include Janet Colclaser, Bernice Hird, Robert Ihrke, Gary Johnson, Parker Kennedy, Carl Mitchell, Anthony Moiso, Supervisor Thomas F. Riley, Appellate Judge Harmon G. Scoville and Carol Wilken.
