Perceptronics Reports 172% Income Jump in 1st Quarter

Perceptronics reported that its net income for the fiscal first quarter that ended June 30 jumped 172% to $113,596 from earnings of $41,735 in the same period a year earlier. Revenues rose 8% to $6.7 million from $6.2 million.

Perceptronics, based in Woodland Hills, makes computer systems primarily for military use. The latest quarter’s profit stemmed in large part from $40,500 in tax credits. The company also cited good results from its training programs and an increase in contracts.
