Potential Cineplex Bidders Listed: A special committee of directors charged with the task of selling Cineplex Odeon Corp. announced that it has compiled a “short list” of possible bidders for the Toronto-based movie theater concern. One industry source said the list apparently includes about half a dozen names of firms interested in buying pieces of the company. The committee refused to identify the potential bidders, other than to say a management-led group is considered to be among those interested.
