NATION : Stars Add Sparkle to Charity Sale

EDGARTOWN, Mass. — A cruise on Walter Cronkite’s yacht and a tour of the “60 Minutes” studio with Mike Wallace topped the celebrity items offered today by auctioneer Art Buchwald to raise funds for a Martha’s Vineyard charity.

A tour of the Washington Post with board Chairwoman Katharine Graham and a sightseeing tour with accomplished pilot Christopher (“Superman”) Reeve were also on the star-studded slate available to 1,600 ticket-holders.

Also available: a tour of Edgartown in a 1960 Bentley with actress Linda (“Lou Grant”) Kelsey, a “literary walk on the wild side” with author William Styron and an autographed copy of “Amy, the Dancing Bear” by author and singer Carly (“You’re So Vain”) Simon.
