Woman Named Top Cadet

WEST POINT, N.Y. — The U.S. Military Academy has named its first woman brigade commander since the academy began accepting female cadets 13 years ago, Army officials said Monday. Kristin Baker, 21, of Yuma Proving Grounds, Ariz., will command the academy’s entire brigade of 4,400 cadets.
