Man’s Body Found Near Mountain Road

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department homicide detectives were investigating the death of a man whose body was discovered Tuesday evening by motorists next to Mulholland Highway near Las Virgenes Road.
The dead man was white and about 30 years old, said Deputy Bill Wehner, a Sheriff’s Department spokesman. A group of people traveling in an off-road vehicle discovered the body face down next to the highway, Wehner said.
It was not known how long the man had been dead, Wehner said. The cause of death was unknown pending an autopsy, he said.
