The family of National Basketball Assn. player Ricky Berry, who killed himself early Monday morning, canceled a memorial service in Sacramento, the Kings announced.
Berry, 24, shot himself after an argument with his wife that prompted her to spend the night elsewhere.
Private funeral services were planned today in Berry’s home state of Michigan, and a public memorial service was scheduled at the Capitol Christian Center in Sacramento Saturday afternoon.
