Calvin Grove outpointed Anthony English to win the vacant United States Boxing Assn. junior lightweight title at Moscow during the first professional card featuring Soviet boxers.
The Soviets won all three bouts against their American opponents.
Yuri Alexandrov, a lightweight and former world amateur champion, outpointed Anthony Cisneros in a four-round bout. Middleweight Viktor Yegorov, the European runner-up in 1987, stopped Michael Williams in the second round, and Anatoli Oreshkin won a four-round split decision over Kenny Crosby in a heavyweight bout.
