Man Shot to Death in Panorama City
A Reseda man was shot to death in the parking lot of a Panorama City apartment complex, Los Angeles police said Saturday.
Paul E. Kaufman, 24, was shot in the chest just after 9 p.m. Friday, said Police Sgt. Wendi Massa.
Kaufman, accompanied by his mother, pulled his car into the parking lot near Parthenia Street and Willis Avenue, where he was accosted by two males, Massa said. One, armed with a handgun shot Kaufman as he sat behind the wheel of the car, police said.
Massa said no motive for the attack had been determined. The attackers were last seen running south on Willis toward Parthenia.
