“Cheers” will toast in a new character when its fall season begins Sept. 21 on NBC. Tony Award-winning British stage actor Roger Rees will be introduced as Robin Colcord, described as a Donald Trump-type “millionaire power broker and entrepreneur” who becomes smitten with Rebecca Howe (series star Kirstie Alley). In the plot, Colcord has been the object of Rebecca’s dreams for years, and he stops by “Cheers” to thank her for business advice she gave him on property in Boston. The two instantly fall for each other.
