Burbank police arrested two more suspects this morning in connection with a triple stabbing that left one man dead and two others seriously hurt during a brawl at a birthday party on Sunday, authorities said.

Four men have now been arrested in the incident, police said. Teresa Ponce, 53, the mother of one of the suspects and the woman whose birthday was being celebrated, also was jailed after investigators found a small amount of cocaine in her apartment, Sgt. Don Goldberg added.

Police said Jose Villa, 21, and Noe Ortiz, 31, were arrested at 1 a.m. in their Huntington Park apartment and are being held without bail on suspicion of murder.

Police said that the party at an apartment complex in the 2300 block of N. Ontario Avenue turned into a brawl and that three neighbors--David Robles, 25; Audiel Gonzalez, 21, and Mario Jovin, 23--were stabbed. Robles later died at St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank. Gonzalez and Jovin were in serious condition at Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center.

Suspects Ramon Ambriz, 35, and Santiago Ponce, 21, were arrested Sunday and the other two arrests followed today. All are being held at the Burbank Jail.

On Monday, while investigators were searching the apartment where Ponce lives with his mother, Teresa, and Marbella Cardenas, 22, a small quantity of cocaine was found, Goldberg said. Both women were arrested on suspicion of possession of cocaine and were being held in lieu of $2,500 bail each at the Burbank Jail.
