Albacore Count Drops in San Diego

Share

Albacore counts at the San Diego landings have dropped in recent days, with most fish being caught in an area 130 miles south of Point Loma--out of range of the overnight fleet.

However, according to Carol Sandner of H&M; Landing, there are still enough fish being caught within range--as close as 62 miles--to keep the fleet’s interest.

The Deluxe returned Monday from a 1 1/2-day trip with 50 albacore, 67 skipjack tuna, two bluefin tuna and a dorado.
