Ex-Seahawks Official Arrested in Slaying of Business Partner
Former Seattle Seahawks General Manager Michael Blatt was arrested Thursday on a murder charge for allegedly paying two men to kill--with an arrow through the chest--Blatt’s former business associate.
The murder of Lawrence Carnegie, originally from Van Nuys, occurred Feb. 28.
Blatt, a sports agent, Stockton developer and former business partner of the victim, served as interim general manager of the National Football League’s Seahawks in February.
The San Joaquin County coroner’s office said Carnegie, a Stockton real estate agent, was shot with an arrow, either from a bow or crossbow.
Authorities previously arrested Carl Hancock Jr., 25, and James Mackey, 26, and said they were paid to kill Carnegie.
