Police will begin a program of setting up sobriety checkpoints with officers from other communities beginning in Los Alamitos Sept. 15.
The task force is composed of officers from Seal Beach, La Palma and Cypress as well as from Los Alamitos, authorities said Friday.
The check points will be rotated among the four communities.
During the stops, officers will hand out pamphlets on drunk driving.
Money for the program is from a grant by the California Office of Traffic Safety.
