Harry Gant’s decision to pass up a last-minute tire change resulted in victory in the Gatorade 200 Grand National stock car race at Darlington International Raceway in Darlington, S.C.
Gant withstood a charge in the final five laps from Phil Parsons, winning by 0.29 of a second.
