Sepulveda Woman Dies in Salt Lake City
A44-year-old Sepulveda woman died during the Labor Day holiday weekend from injuries she received in a hit-and-run accident in a crosswalk in downtown Salt Lake City, police said.
The victim of the accident, which occured at 9:40 p.m. Friday, was identified as Gai Gardiner.
Gardiner was in a crosswalk when she was struck by a westbound pickup truck that fled, officers said. Gardiner was taken to Latter-day Saints Hospital, where she died Saturday night from head and internal injuries.
