Huntington Beach : Surf Museum Rides to New Temporary Digs
They are calling it a “ground breaking,” but actually members of the Huntington Beach International Surf Museum on Monday will be breaking off the facade of an existing building that will be their new headquarters in old downtown.
Prominent older surfers such as Jack Haley and Dr. Ding will be on hand for the 1 p.m. ceremonies at what is the third temporary place for the museum since it was begun two years ago. Ultimately, the museum is to be situated near the Huntington Beach Pier, possibly in a parking garage beside it.
