NEW YORK — A fourth young man was indicted on murder charges Friday in the fatal Bensonhurst racial attack, authorities said.
The man, 19-year-old Joseph Serrano, had been arrested on assault charges. But he was indicted by a grand jury on murder and other charges, said Nancy Young, a spokeswoman for Brooklyn Dist. Atty. Elizabeth Holtzman.
Indicted earlier on murder charges in the Aug. 23 death of Yusuf Hawkins, 16, were the suspected triggerman, 18-year-old Joseph Fama, and two others, Keith Mondello, 18, and Pasquale Raucci, 19.
