Dolphins Sign Smith, Close Book on First-Round Draft Choices
Sammie Smith, the National Football League’s last unsigned first-round draft choice, agreed to a four-year, $2.5-million contract with the Miami Dolphins.
The agreement is reportedly a compromise between the $2.65 million that Smith, a running back from Florida State, had demanded and the Dolphins’ last stated offer of about $2.44 million.
